From Knott Rigg the path to Ard Crags is, again, obvious.
The walk there is a bit like going up and down a roller-coaster. Dropping before climbing again always fells but of a pain but, as I said to Theo, that's the ice-age for you!
At least the path is obvious and before long you are on the final ascent.
Again, not the biggest cairn in the world but at least there was one!
And one of me at the top.
As we made our way back to the car the rain came in and lashed us on the back of the wind as well so a bit of a miserable trudge back over the ground we had previously covered.
