Knott, 22nd June, 2019

On the Stuart Maconie walks in the Northern Fells he says that some of these are Connoisseur's fells. Knott being one of them. Well we'd not seen many people on the fells today and the route to Knott didn't look to be very busy!

Again in the decent weather the route is fairly clear to see straight ahead and then a curve to the left as you reach the top. There was a little bit of a climb towards the end which did feel harder than it actually is.

You can just see the cairn on the horizon. From the summit of Great Sca Fell to the top of Knott takes you around twenty-five minutes but the views are well worth it. You can see High Pike, Blencathra and round to Skiddaw. Just a wonderful view. A happy Theo

And a very happy Ivan! You can see Carrock Fell and the ridge to High Pike behind me.

And there we have it. Fell number 4 on the day. Paul Tierney needn't worry about his record but we were still chuffed as we knew that to get back to the car we were heading downhill and would be able to knock off another 2 fells on the way.
